Construction:
The unit is constructed of structural steel, tubing and plate
members welded into a heavy duty unit suitable for industrial
applications. The unit will consist of a lower bed frame, a rotating
upper bed assembly and the structural frame weldment.
Lower Bed Frame:
This assembly will be equipped with Air-Bag Die Lifters in
bottom plate to allow dies to be loaded and unloaded via die cart
or fork truck. The bed will be equipped with mounting pins
to position the Die on the centerline. Once the Die is located
in position, clamps will be mounted to secure the Die to the bed.
Rotating Upper Bed:
The upper bed will be used to separate and rotate the upper
Die half. The bed will raise and lower on four (4) covered ball
screws mounted within the structural frame of the separator. In
addition the bed will rotate 180 degrees. The bed will be equipped
with a helicalibevel gear drive arrangement providing the rotation
for the bed. The upper bed will lower for closing the die after
rotation.
Installation:
The unit will be designed for easy field installation. Provisions
will be made in each bed assembly for final adjustments and shimming
as required for proper alignment of each bed section. Provisions
will be made in the base of the separator for anchoring to the
floor. Details for mounting to be developed at approval drawing
stage. Installation will be done by the customer in his facility.
Installation instructions to be provided by the manufacturer prior
to delivery of the equipment.
Testing:
The unit will be completely assembled and operated
at the manufacturing facility prior to shipment. A full load and
operational test of the equipment will be performed prior to shipment.
The customer will be invited to witness the test of the equipment
and provide acceptance of the equipment prior to shipment. LTS
will require a die from the customer at test time.
